The Swivel Seat
Hi, my name is Tom Kelsey, and I'm the inventor of the Hot Tub Swivel Seat. The idea came to me after my wife, Donna, had an accident and had her foot severed. Thank God the doctors were able to reattach it. We live in Indiana, where it gets cold, and I knew she would have trouble with the pain. Since we have a hot tub, I mentioned to her that we had to find a way to get her into the tub for aqua therapy. Since I knew she could not climb over the side, I said, "It would be nice if there was a way for you to sit down on the seat, rotate facing the inside of the tub, then just step down into the tub." That's when I started designing the Hot Tub Swivel Seat.
After a month of on-and-off working on it, the seat was finished. Donna came home and used it with no trouble. She says she could not have been able to get into the tub without the swivel seat, and I'm sure that's what helped with her quick recover. I then got to thinking, "I know this product can help many other people," so I contacted World Patent Marketing. They handled everything. Everybody was very professional. World Patent Marketing is manufacturing the product at one of their factories. It was literally a one-stop shop. They did my intercontinental patent application, a prototype, my engineering, and even met with retailers to get pre-orders before production. I was able to speak personally with the CEO of the company, Scott Cooper, and work to make other improvements. Donna and I want to thank World Patent Marketing for all their hard work.
